SPEECH ORDER BY 187
ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE OF PERU
ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE OF PERU
President of the Republic of Peru
Minister of Education Dear Colleagues
students.
It is my honor to address you One hundred eighty-seventh in this
(187) anniversary of the independence of Peru from English rule and I appreciate the confidence placed in me to lead the keynote address in this glorious national holiday.
I was wondering what is the message that might occur through this speech?, And the only answer I found in one word: FREEDOM!
When the heroes and the heroes of the independence rebelled against colonial Spain did in the name of freedom. Longed-awaited freedom from the very beginning of the English conquest.
Manco Inca in 1536, just four years after the arrival of the English called puka kunka , rebelled aspiring freedom. Four years had been enough to notice the onset of a dark era of oppression and slavery. Taqy movement Ongoy , despite its religious essence, claimed freedom to believe and think with their own heads. Tupac Amaru II when he gets up screaming loudly in Ink for economic and social freedom.
All the cries of freedom were drowned in huge pools of blood were spilled generously so that future generations live in freedom.
These sacrifices were the seeds that germinated large continental movements, like giants who rose to expel the English colonial American territory.
Therefore the independence of Peru is not only the independence of a country is the courageous struggle of a continent, is the struggle of millions of men from Panama to Patagonia raised their fists and voices in search of Freedom.
Peru is the culmination of this grand process, here were the decisive battles against the English army, the most powerful in the world at that time.
No wonder, Colombians, Argentines, Chileans, Venezuelans gathered to Peruvians in this sacred land called Peru, culminating together this great struggle initiated from Manco Inca. Were 289 years of great struggle for American independence.
A July 28, 1821 is the major milestone of the independence of Peru, is the beginning of the end of English rule, is the beginning of our true freedom, not only for Peru but for all America. Three years later, there would be an end to colonial shame, because with JunÃn and Ayacucho be sealed, finally, the great American independence. No more bondage, no more slavery. Now, the hope of growing up as a free, great and sovereign in our own hands. All America can breathe easy because there are no more colonialism that might endanger his freedom.
But this freedom won with great effort, great courage and enormous sacrifices we lose today, in the XXI century, because of ignorance and poverty, the two great enemies of this century.
Ignorance and poverty are two great enemies that conspire against the freedom and joy of the Peruvians, these enemies are not people with colonialist thinking, oppressing others. Ignorance and poverty are big monsters that live among us, who want to enslave our minds and our souls.
oppression and slavery to which these monsters want to submit is much more terrible than the plight of our ancestors. Ignorance and poverty are very great enemies of good Peruvian, they want to get into our brains to not achieving our welfare and happiness. They want to live eternally poor, eternally dependent, powerless forever, eternally unhappy.
To do this, attack our greatest resource: our youth. Tells hearing: NO LEAS IS BORING, NOT DO THE WORK, GOING TO THE CLUBS DO NOT PREPARE, MAS MIRA TELEVISION, FORGET THE BOOKS, drugs, TRAP BEAM NOT FOLLOW THE RULES, STEAL, LIE, DO NOT BE LEAL, etc., etc. etc. If they did if they have created the new slaves of the XXI century, we always submitted for eternal slavery through a world where knowledge is the most valuable tool for development and happiness.
So, ladies and gentlemen, dear students Peruvians, we are freedom fighters, leaders of creativity, education warriors, defenders of our country, we will fight against these two enemies: IGNORANCE AND POVERTY. We will defeat them with a daily struggle, we will eradicate them from the trench called Educational Institution light, and continue fighting to expel them permanently from our homeland. From every corner of our lush jungle, every spot of our mysterious mountain and every valley of our magnificent coast should be eradicated, expelled, ignorance and poverty. You no longer need swords, pistols, rifles and guns, now it takes decisions, books and more books. Each book read is a decisive blow against the enemies of the motherland. Colleagues and students, each time you read a book to be aware that they are helping to defeat these two giants, monsters, enemies of our beloved country called Peru. Each book is a deadly attack on the mother of poverty ignorance, discrimination, inequality and ignominy. Let's fierce fighting these enemies.
Thus, each July 28, proud to celebrate the battles won, we will be free and independent, the general will of the people and for the cause that God defends.
VIVA EL PERU!
VIVA LA LIBERTAD! INDEPENDENCE
