juggle.
Juggling balls, with activities,
with responsibilities, challenges, projects ...
... whatever.
The idea is to hold multiple objects simultaneously, one in the hand
other in the air, and go
interspersed in a full motion
and harmonious.

... Bravo!

ART: WHAT IS IT?

ART: WHAT IS THAT?

PRESENTATION

This article has been prepared for the magazine "The Fajardino" in 2003, the year that we care about art and popular art with greater intensity.

The people also make art, but some intellectuals are discriminated against and say that "art is art and how people worship is not worship is not capable of performing art." This pernicious idea for the development of art in Peru, led me to write this article for discussion between practitioners Ayacucho art, both musical and dance expression.

ARTICLE

art sublimates the soul of the viewer, that is, what thrills her most intimate emotional fibers: does it mourn, grieve, laugh, admire, so proud to experience the sensations and capture messages sent by the artwork.

The art to be art, has had to overcome all limitations of class, ideological, racial, ethnic, religious, geographical and historical, in spite of the artist, to show only the essence of beauty, the admirable, the magnanimous and depth. Art is the essence of sensibility and therefore their only source is human.

An artist, whether poor or rich, will bring their experiences, their aspirations, their identity and worldview in the artwork, but even so, if he manages to transcend mental limitations prejudices of society and manages to wrest the sensitivity of any human being has accomplished its purpose.

Art is closely linked to the education of man: as his sensitivity, his identity, his conscience and culture. If at first the artist has specific purposes in the educational field, once completed and extends beyond the work and does not belong, it becomes a world heritage site.

Take, for example, Tables Sarhua. These works of art began as an activity intended to decorate the homes of the people and where the "surfer" recorded their experience on boards of large dimensions, where this custom comes to town for practical reasons boil down to tables small and manageable. So call the attention of intellectuals and later the initial transcend geographic boundaries, political and aesthetic of the district and province to become national international expansion works worthy of exposure in the best museums in the world.

The same is happening with many songs and music of our national folklore today have become showpieces world, admired by all.

Art as culture is constantly changing and developing is not static, we find the "pure art" to maintain its "purity" through the centuries. Art is always the expression of his time and made it.

art to belong to a culture, is influenced by it, for its dynamism, its strengths and weaknesses. Is colored by the culture and, therefore, for loans and exchanges, and cultural imposition. The art is not immune to it.

For example, most current dances and costumes of Peruvian folklore, not preserve the purity of pre-Hispanic peoples, but are actually a fusion of indigenous and English. We can not escape that reality. This cultural fusion has formed the characteristics of our current folklore.

For example, the typical huayno and tap the huaylas is a English cultural borrowing, from which it originates. The rounds that are danced in dances such as carnivals and fajardino pum pin is Indian custom. While the guitar, accordion, harp and violin are of European origin.

currently use electricity for lighting, sound equipment, guitar and electric harp that substantially improve the quality of sound, this is a loan that is now American cultural heritage of humanity. All this must necessarily influence artistic expression.

Each new generation will bring in the development of art and culture, discern what aspects change and which to keep, making the work of art in a generational expression.
